Castle in the Sky is the story of Pazu, a young boy who works in a coal mine, and Sheeta, who is a descendant of a legendary people who controlled magic crystals on their now lost, floating home-world. Several different parties try to kidnap Sheeta in order to learn the secrets of the crystal. Everybody has lots of firepower and air power and as a result a good deal of the film consists of explosions and acrobatics and the two kids yelling "Paaaazuuuu!" or "Sheeeataaaa!" It's a nice story but I don't think it's of the same caliber as other Miyazaki films like Spirited Away or Naussica of the Valley of the Wind. But I've also learned that Miyazaki's fans' favorites differ almost person-to-person. So don't take my word for it since you might as well just watch them all.
