I haven't seen The Ladykillers or Intolerable Cruelty and not a single person has ever suggested that I do so. Which means I can be fairly certain that I've seen all the great Coen Brothers films. This is not one of them. It's not a bad film, but it suffers from a serious lack of sympathetic characters. I don't object to the notion of a plot that goes absolutely nowhere (like Lebowski), as long as we can enjoy spending time with the characters. But the only ones that I felt were worthwhile were J.K. Simmons and David Rasche's CIA Superior and CIA Officer, and they are relatively small parts, although their scenes loosely frame the whole story. I felt like everyone else was trying a little too hard, except perhaps for the writer/directors. A missing CD? That could never be as funny as a missing briefcase.

How in the hell can you write a review on this movie?!?! it's not that it doesn't deserve a review, it's that i can hardley remember anything about it!!! if the writers rule is: "write drunk, revise sober"; then what do you call watching a movie wasted and writing a review of it in whatever state of mind you were in. i would agree the only worthwhile characters were J.K. Simmons & David Rasche's; albeit a small part, i loved those guys~
I wouldn't say I was wasted. In fact, I remembering donating some of my beer to you. You at least remember the dildo contraption, right?
okay, maybe "wasted" is an exaggeration of our inebriated state; although you did infact donate beer to me, several times... and of course i remember the dildo contraption
